  1. Mr. Smith Goes to Washington was horrible!

    1. Dearest Sisyphus, I feel a mixture of gratitude and embarrassment over my re-watching (for the first time in about 30 years) Mr. Smith yesterday and concluding that it does not meet the very high standards of the other movies on my list — and, so, have removed it. (Every other movie on the list I’ve seen in the last few years, so I can confirm they’re good to go.) Mr. Smith is an excellent movie, but as with many other excellent movies suggested by wise friends recently, it falls just a tad short. And heaven knows I need to maintain my high standards. :-) Respectfully yours…

  2. And I get Joe Versus the Volcano, but I don’t get why you think it is of enough merit to deserve that ranking.

  3. The choice of Joe vs The Volcano makes me question your wisdom…

  4. Dearest Sisyphus, your comment about Mr. Smith does not merit a response. :-) Joe vs. the Volcano is about overcoming your fears in life and LIVING! Perhaps it resonates more with me than with you because I have more fears!

  5. What makes Mr. Smith so great?
