Living "after the manner of happiness" 
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington was horrible!
Dearest Sisyphus, I feel a mixture of gratitude and embarrassment over my re-watching (for the first time in about 30 years) Mr. Smith yesterday and concluding that it does not meet the very high standards of the other movies on my list — and, so, have removed it. (Every other movie on the list I’ve seen in the last few years, so I can confirm they’re good to go.) Mr. Smith is an excellent movie, but as with many other excellent movies suggested by wise friends recently, it falls just a tad short. And heaven knows I need to maintain my high standards. :-) Respectfully yours…
